Questions about Vacuum Forming Machines, Dust Removal and Packing Machines, and Maintenance Tips

Vacuum & Vacuum Pressure Forming Machines

Various resins can be used, including A-PET, PP, HIPS, PVC, and PC (polycarbonate).
Yes, we can achieve this. While it’s difficult to generalize since conditions vary by sheet material, WAKITEC’s track record includes forming with 1mm of A-PET and 1.5mm of PP, for example. Please feel free to contact us for further details.
Forming is possible up to a depth ranging between 80mm and 120mm, although this can vary by sheet material and shape. We can provide a level of customization, so please contact us if you want to discuss measurements outside this depth range or other requests.
Forming speed varies depending on sheet thickness, material, and mold specifications. Thin, simple shapes can be formed in as little as 2 seconds per shot, while thicker, more complex shapes such as industrial trays can take up to 20 seconds.
WAKITEC can provide size customization to some extent, so please feel free to ask. When extreme miniaturization is not achievable, we will suggest our compact machine models, such as the compact vacuum pressure forming machine FVS-500 TYPE, in accordance with your required production volume and other needs.
Yes, we can.
WAKITEC has a track record of multiple overseas installations, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
No. WAKITEC does not manufacture molds or dies. If necessary, we can introduce mold or die manufacturers.
Yes. Tests can be conducted using WAKITEC’s in-house molds, or molds provided by the client, allowing us to carry out forming tests and produce samples close in shape to the actual product. For details, please see our “Forming Test Guide“.

Dust Removal & Packing Machines

Our dust removal machines have a built-in blower. In conventional dust removal, which uses continuous blowing of compressed air, a minimum compressor capacity of 11 kW is required. WAKITEC has reduced piping resistance and developed a unique V-shaped nozzle that enables powerful dust-removal air to be generated even by a low-pressure blower, making a compressor unnecessary. As a result, power consumption has been significantly reduced to 2.6 kW, less than one quarter.
The blower’s suction filter removes external solid matter down to approximately 10 μm.
While there is some variation depending on product shape and the type of adhered foreign matter, approximately 98% of foreign matter can be removed if the product depth is around 25 mm. If required, we can provide materials on our “Dust Removal Function Foreign Matter Removal Test Conditions”.
Yes, we take countermeasures against static electricity. During dust removal, our machines create gaps between stacked products, and the dust-removal nozzle travels from above. Dust-removal air and destaticizing air are simultaneously blown into the gaps between products, and static electricity is rapidly removed by supplying ions according to the level of electric charge on the products. This enables a higher-precision dust-removal effect.
If desired, we can provide machine layout proposals. We can also provide customization based on your factory environment.
